Carnival Rides
Carnival rides are an Oktoberfest tradition, and we’ve got a dizzying variety thanks to City of Fun Carnival. We’ve got a merry-go-round to entertain the kids, and more intense options like the Sizzler for teens and grownups! You could even win a prize at the midway skill games.
Family owned and operated for over 50 years, City of Fun Carnival has always prided itself in providing family entertainment for the communities it has served.
AZ Sports League Tournaments
Arizona Sports League will be offering Adult Volleyball on Friday, Soccer on Saturday & Kickball on Sunday, inside this year’s Oktoberfest event.

Stein Holding Competition
Four Peaks Brewing Co., Arizona’s beloved craft brewery, is excited to announce its highly anticipated 4th Annual Stein Holding Competition. This thrilling event is set to take place throughout the Valley, with multiple qualifying rounds leading up to the grand finale at the Four Peaks Brewing Oktoberfest at Tempe Town Lake on Sunday, October 13.
Stein holding, a tradition deeply rooted in German culture, showcases contestants’ strength and endurance as they attempt to hold a filled 1 liter beer stein at arm’s length for as long as possible. It’s a test of stamina, concentration, and of course, love for beer.
Qualifying rounds start September 12 at Four Peaks 8th Street Pub with additional rounds announced soon. Your entry fee of $8 includes entry to the competition and a 32 oz glass stein filled with beer.
The winners from each qualifying round will secure their spot at the grand finale, where they will compete for the coveted title of Four Peaks Stein Holding Champion. The top male & female competitors will each receive a grand prize of a $500 Four Peaks Pub gift card.
All participants must be 21 years of age or older.

Dachshund Races
The wiener dog races at The Four Peaks Oktoberfest are a fan favorite tradition! For 2024 we have created a new category so more dogs can get in on the fun.
The “Low Center of Gravity” race category is for non-weiner dogs measuring 12″ or shorter from the shoulder that love to race!
On Saturday and Sunday, come watch these furry fun balls run their hearts out! Cheer on your favorites and celebrate Oktoberfest in proper fashion! It is the perfect combination of funny and exciting! Did we mention there will be a Bone Bar?! See you there!
